Creating Pet-Inclusive Services: Supporting People and Their Pets

Creating Pet-Inclusive Services: Supporting People and Their Pets

Tuesday, November 24, 2026 - 2:00:00 PM until

Many people experiencing homelessness in the UK have a pet. However, research has identified a significant barrier to accessing accommodation: the lack of pet-friendly housing across both homelessness services and the wider rental market. As a result, many people are faced with the difficult choice of giving up their pet or remaining without suitable accommodation.

This webinar from Homeless Link will explore why pet-inclusive approaches matter, the challenges faced by people with pets, and practical steps services can take to become more welcoming and supportive.

Attendees will hear from people with lived experience, learn about available support and resources, and gain insights into how their organisation can better meet the needs of people and their pets.

Speakers will include representatives from IMPACT, Street Paws, Newcastle University, Street Vet, and Dogs Trust.
