This session is open exclusively to UK-based frontline workers, delivered as part of the Frontline Network’s Responsive Training programme.

Abouts This Session

With the rise of substances like nitazene’s, fentanyl and xylazine, understanding the risks and how to respond effectively to emerging trends in the UK drug supply has never been more crucial. Over the course of this session, we will explore the growing challenge of synthetic opioids, their impact on individuals, and the latest approaches to prevention, treatment, and harm reduction.

Over the course of this hour-long session, we will cover the following areas:

· The changing drug market and impact

· What are New Synthetic opioids – info on Nitazene, Fentanyl and Xylazine

· The prediction for the future

· Who potentially are at risk

· How service will need to respond

· Harm reduction advice and information

· Q&A to finish

Who Can Attend

This training opportunity if open to frontline workers who are based in the United Kingdom in positions supporting people experiencing homelessness.

All attending must register with their work email address for us to verify the above criteria. Registering using a personal email address will mean your ticket will be returned.

How will it be delivered?

Session will last from 10am to 11.15am, finish time depending on length of Q&A.

Session will be held on Teams and hosted by Change Grow Live.

You will receive joining links and any course materials at least the day ahead of training.

You will need access to a computer to attend.

Please log on five minutes ahead of training to ensure a quick and smooth start to the session.
