Bereavement on the Frontline - Webinar

Thursday, November 20, 2025 - 11:00:00 AM until

In 2024, 1,611 people died whilst homeless in the UK, a 9% increase from the previous year.

For those in frontline services, experiencing the death of a service user or colleague can deeply impact both individuals and teams. For services working with older or more vulnerable clients, this experience can unfortunately be commonplace. The annual Service of Commemoration for people who have died whilst experiencing homelessness in the past year is being held on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at 11:00 AM at St Martin-in-the-Fields church. The service, hosted by St Martin's, The Connection at St Martin's, Housing Justice, and the Museum of Homelessness, will remember those who have died on the streets or in temporary accommodation, as well as colleagues and volunteers who have died in the past year.

To mark this act of remembrance the Frontline Network are hosting this webinar to discuss the impact and experiences of death and bereavement on frontline staff.

This conversation brings together senior leaders within the homelessness sector to discuss the impact of death and bereavement on frontline workers, how teams and individuals can navigate these challenges and support colleagues, and what organisations and teams can do create supportive environments.
