Psychologically Informed Environment (PIE) Training
Psychologically Informed Environment (PIE) Training
Psychologically Informed Environment (PIE) Training
The Frontline Network and Brett Grellier Psychology Services are delighted to offer this full-day, small group, online training programme focusing on Psychologically Informed Environments.
Please note, as spaces for this training are limited, we will be requesting that a maximum of two frontline staff from a single organisation attend. We will also operate a waiting list once this is full. A Zoom link will be emailed ahead of the session to registered attendees.
As part of the Frontline Network criteria for attendance this training offer is only available to frontline workers who are in paid positions in the United Kingdom and support people experiencing homelessness.
The Psychologically Informed Environment (PIE) approach proposes that day-to-day running of social and health care settings should been consciously designed to consider the psychological and emotional needs of the people using and delivering the service. This training provides an understanding of the approach and how to systematically implement psychologically-informed ways of working in your service.
This training programme is offered exclusively to those working in frontline positions supporting people who experience homelessness. You will be asked for your organisation name and work email at registration. If these criteria do not apply to you, please do not complete the registration.
You will:
- understand the role of early relationships on development
- learn the basics of recognising trauma and its impacts
- practice tools to support your own wellbeing at work
- review the importance of reflective practice
- learn practical strategies to apply PIE in practice
- reflect on how your service is doing in the five areas of PIE including: creating ‘spaces of opportunity’ and evaluating outcomes
Timetable for for the day as follows:

- 10.45 - 11.00 - BREAK
