Apply to New £8 Million Fund Aiming to Prevent Homelessness

A new funding opportunity has opened for charities and community organisations working to prevent homelessness across England and Wales.
The Good Place to Live: New Beginnings Fund, launched by Lloyds Bank Foundation, will invest £8 million in organisations supporting people at key life transitions when the risk of homelessness is greatest.
The fund is aimed charities, charitable incorporated organisations (CIOs) and Community Interests Companies (CIC) whose main purpose is to support people through one of these experiences:
- Prison
- The care system
- An abusive relationship
- The asylum system on securing the right to remain
Between 40 and 50 organisations will receive unrestricted funding of up to £200,000 over four years, alongside tailored organisational development support.
The offer will comprise of two types of grants:
We offer two types of grants:
- A £100,000 grant - made up of four £25,000 annual payments for organisations with an annual income less than £100,000
- A £200,000 grant - made up of four £50,000 annual payment for organisations with an annual income between £100,000 and £2 million
The unrestricted nature of the grants gives charities the flexibility to invest where it is needed most while strengthening their long-term sustainability and impact.
Applications are open to eligible charities with a deadline of 5pm on 9 September 2026.
