Job vacancy - Partnerships Officer

Wednesday, July 14, 2021

Are you a creative, empathetic, proactive, self-motivated individual adept at working with organisations and frontline workers supporting people experiencing homelessness? Do you have a track record of working in frontline roles? Are you able to relate to issues affecting frontline staff and the diverse situations impacting people experiencing homelessness? Confident to talk to lots of people and arrange events to bring people together both online and in person? If so, we would love to hear from you.

We are currently recruiting:

Job title: Partnerships Officer
Responsible to: Partnerships Manager
Line management: None
Contract type: Permanent
Location: St Martin-in-the-Fields, Trafalgar Square, London. Currently working from home during Covid restrictions. Role involves some UK-wide travel.
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum – depending on experience
Main purpose of role: Develop and build relationships with frontline staff and organisations across different sectors supporting people experiencing homelessness

This is a key role in our rapidly expanding Charity. You will need to be able to self-manage, use your initiative and plan your time and workloads which will get busy at times and require some juggling skills! You will be able to work in the office or remotely from home. You will use your sector knowledge to identify key people and networks to draw on for support, seek out interesting facilitators to speak at our events and identify opportunities to setup and develop local networks across the UK.

The main purpose of the Partnerships Officer role will be to develop and build relationships with frontline staff and organisations across different sectors supporting people experiencing homelessness. You will provide support to the Partnerships Manager to manage working relationships with 5 of our current Network Partners, take the lead in planning our Annual Conference and two regional conferences with capacity support provided by the Charity administrator. You will make decisions for signing off applications for funding to our shadowing, events and training funds and draw on feedback from staff to develop theme focuses for training events. A key part of your role will be helping us provide on-the-ground support to frontline staff via setting up Local Networks. These might be thematic, or place based, be online and/or in person. Local Networks support links to frontline workers to network, share expertise and access training and support in their areas.

We are really keen to hear from people currently working in a frontline role and looking for a new challenge.

Deadline for receipt of applications - 11.59pm on 15 August 2021.
