Managing Increased Threat to Staff and Service users - in the current cultural climate

Across the UK, the increase in activity from far-right agitators has made many people feel concerned for their safety, including people within the immigration and asylum system and frontline staff who support them.

Many organisations have been affected by hostile far right action and abuse. Whilst migrant-specific organisations have been directly impacted, there has also been a targeting of other organisations who have services specific to those in the immigration and asylum system, or who are providing support to people from migrant backgrounds.

Discussed in this webinar are ways that staff and organisations can further their understanding and assessing of the threat from the far right, what actions organisations can take to improve staff, Volunteer and client safety and how to manage and handle tensions arising within services and amongst people accessing support.

Speakers: Bethan Lant, Head of Capacity Building, Praxis; Stan Senior, Housing Policy and Research Lead, Welsh Refugee Council; Stephen Morrison, Policy Lead, Housing Rights Northern Ireland.
