Tuesday, September 6, 2022

Frontline Network is delighted to be making this training available to Frontline Workers for free. The training is provided by Homeless Link.

An introductory course that will explore what Complex Trauma and Trauma Informed Care is, and provide an opportunity to reflect on how your service can be a safe and empowering environment for staff and the people you support.

Trainer Joan Coulton will help individuals to think about potential challenges, as well as understand behaviours, and help you in how you might respond to these in your setting.

Delegates will also be given some practical resources for working in a trauma-informed way and will learn to recognise vicarious/secondary trauma within themselves and how to overcome it.

Who is this course for?

  • Frontline homelessness workers with little experience in the field
  • Staff from other sectors who have contact with people experiencing homelessness/people experiencing complex needs
  • Organisations who are not yet, or are in the early stages of, working in a psychologically informed way

What will you learn?

On completion of this course you will:
