A significant amount of young people who are experiencing homelessness, have also experienced trauma, how can we best support these young people?
St Basils became one of the first Psychologically Informed Environments or ‘PIEs’ in 2011, in recognition that homeless young people were increasingly struggling with mental health problems, had experience of trauma and abuse and presented with challenging behaviours.
Dr Amanda Skeate from St Basils will be speaking about how frontline staff can support young people who have experienced trauma.
