Homelessness and Modern Day Slavery - What you need to know
December 2nd 14:30-16:30
This is a free event for anyone who supports or who has contact with those who are experiencing homelessness in Essex. Paid and unpaid workers, those with Lived Experience of Homelessness and those from related sectors such as Health, Education, Criminal Justice, Local Authority and Adult Social Care etc. are welcome.
This session will give you some very practical tips on how to spot the signs, reduce the risks and respond effectively when you come across victims of MDS. Dr Julia Tomas is the Anti-Slavery Coordinator for The Passage and a sector lead on MDS and Homelessness will be sharing with us her knowledge insights which will hopefully leave you inspired to learn more and integrate new ways of working within your role.
